BiographyBorn in a displaced persons camp in post-WWII Austria, Leon Hushcha was raised in the Ukrainian-speaking family of a railroad worker in St. Paul, Minnesota. He began drawing and painting at the age of five. He received a Master in Fine Arts degree from the University of Minnesota after completing his undergraduate studies at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
