DescriptionBorn in Kharkiv, Biletsky graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute in1949. He was a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine and worked at the Kyiv Museum of Western and Eastern Art and the Memorial House Museum of Taras Shevchenko, Kyiv, 1949-1959. He was Professor of Art History at the Ukrainian Art Academy (1969) and held a Ph.D. in Art History (1971). He was Corresponding Member of the Ukrainian National Academy of Science; Academician of the Academy of Art of Ukraine; Laureate of the Taras Shevchenko State Award of Ukrainian SSR.On View
